What is Fulfilment?

Fulfilment means meeting a requirement or a need. In the world of E-commerce order fulfilment it is the process of a merchant or seller preparing and delivering an order to a customer or buyer. The Merchant can use a third Party Logistic Provider (3PL) or Fulfilment Center to take care of the order preparation, and have the order delivered by an outsourced Transportation company or Carrier. In case of return orders the merchant can use the same or another carrier to bring products back to the Fulfilment Center or fulfilment Warehouse.
